Hosted by Taurus Advisory, the latest 7oceans M&A Alliance conference brought together colleagues from across the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland and the Netherlands
Cross-border transactions are a fundamental part of the M&A landscape. Whether clients are seeking overseas buyers, pursuing international acquisitions or attracting foreign investment, success depends on far more than geography. It requires trusted relationships, local expertise and an understanding of different business cultures. Through the 7oceans M&A Alliance, our clients benefit from Global advisers who work together regularly, helping to deliver seamless support and better outcomes on international transactions
Bringing everyone together gives us the opportunity to share insights from our respective markets, compare economic and sector trends, and discuss opportunities and challenges
One of the greatest strengths of the 7oceans Alliance is simple: when a transaction crosses a border, the relationships are already in place
For clients, international M&A does not begin with searching for an adviser in another country. It begins with a trusted network of advisers who already know one another, work together regularly and understand how each team operates. The relationships developed through conferences such as Vienna ensure we can seamlessly support transactions wherever opportunities arise
Each member firm contributes its own local market knowledge, sector expertise and long-established relationships. Combined, this creates a trusted international advisory network capable of supporting clients throughout every stage of a cross-border transaction
FROM TRAINING TO TALENT
This year's conference was not only about bringing together senior dealmakers. A particularly exciting development was welcoming Financa, who delivered dedicated training sessions for junior members from across the alliance.
Investing in the next generation of advisers is an important part of what we are building as a network. While our younger colleagues are developing their technical and transactional skills, they are also creating international relationships that will support collaboration across Europe for many years to come.
The connections being formed today will become the foundation of future cross-border transactions tomorrow
FROM DEALS TO DRINKS
A highlight of the event was the opportunity to visit Der Wiener Heurige, where our Austrian colleagues shared the history and traditions of the region. The visit provided a fantastic opportunity to experience a unique part of Viennese culture while continuing discussions in a more informal setting.
FROM CONVERSATIONS TO OPPORTUNITIES
Everyone may now be back at their desks, but the conversations started in Vienna have certainly not stopped.
We returned with fresh insights, stronger relationships and a growing pipeline of opportunities being explored between member firms across the alliance
In a world where cross-border transactions have become the norm rather than the exception, having trusted advisers on the ground across the globe provides a significant advantage for our clients. The relationships built and strengthened through the 7oceans Alliance allow us to deliver seamless international advice, identify opportunities beyond domestic markets and support clients wherever their ambitions take them
FROM AUSTRIA TO ITALY
A huge thank you to Taurus Advisory for hosting us in Vienna, to Financa for supporting the development of our junior teams, and to everyone across the 7oceans M&A Alliance who contributed to another highly successful conference
Our next conference will be held in Italy and we very much look forward to seeing everyone again in Stresa!
