Volker brings a wealth of transaction experience and a deep understanding of the M&A mid-market. He provides overall strategic and operational leadership for 7Oceans activities in Germany and Austria. With more than two decades of transaction experience, he is responsible for generating M&A advisory mandates in a variety of sectors. Volker advised family-owned businesses, corporates and private equity on landmark deals. Throughout his distinguished career he successfully closed more than 60 transactions with a deal volume of more than 4.5bn €. 

Volker acts as a senior, hands-on and authentic advisor and has built long-term client relationships with key decision-makers. He is a highly regarded investment banker and a regular speaker at industry events.   

Prior to joining Taurus Advisory, Volker led M&A at Dutch bank NIBC. Previously, he held key positions in investment banking with Bankhaus Metzler, Germany‘s oldest private bank fully owned by the family, and with Sal. Oppenheim, Europe’s largest private bank.  

Volker holds a diploma in economics from University of Bonn and is certified in business informatics. He is a Certified International Investment Analyst and Certified European Financial Analyst (CIIA/CEFA). 

Volker is an enthusiastic tennis player and president of one of the largest tennis clubs in Germany. He enjoys travelling around Frankfurt on his bike and spending time with his wife and children.
