Founded in 1993 in Le Mans, La Sommelière is a historic player in the French wine cellar market. In 2006, it was acquired from its founder by Richard Guillorel, who gradually diversified the business into both domestic and professional refrigeration equipment, leading to the creation of the Frio Group following the acquisition of its main competitor, Climadiff, in 2011. The group is currently led by Didier Grychta (President) and Xavier Dubreuil (CEO), who joined the project in 2018 and 2010, respectively.
