Founded in 1985 in Le Havre (France) by Thierry Delerue, GENETECH Group has become a global leader in the design, assembly, and distribution of technological products for firefighting and rescue operations. GENETECH is the #1 player in the ventilator market in France and Europe, and ranks #3 worldwide. The group is also among the top two French players in the nozzles and monitors segment, as well as in firefighting foam concentrates, and is one of the top three global leaders in victim search and rescue equipment. In 2016, GENETECH employed nearly 100 people and achieved €25.7 million in revenue with an EBITDA of over €3.2 million. Headquartered in Octeville-sur-Mer (France), the group operates several international subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, the UK, and the US, with 75% of its revenue generated from exports.
The management team of GENETECH, advised by ADVISO PARTNERS, has organized a sponsorless OBO (Owner Buy-Out) to support the group’s future growth, with key managers joining the company’s shareholding structure. Thierry Delerue and his family retain majority ownership. This capital reorganization, which brings the group’s executives into the capital, aims to foster significant business growth over the coming years, driven by both strong organic development and targeted external acquisitions. The acquisition debt, secured from BRED (underwritten), is intended to finance these growth initiatives, including external growth both in France and internationally. A first milestone will be reached in the coming days with a major acquisition in the United States in the ventilator market.
