BRU is a Zurich-based company that was founded 3 years ago with the aim of simplifying home tea preparation for every tea lover. The BRU Maker One was born out of a passion for healthy and delicious tea. In their search for a tea maker that really works, the founders did not find what they were looking for and decided to take matters into their own hands and develop a product that would delight tea novices and tea experts alike.
After launching in Germany and Austria with its own online store and a rapidly growing subscription model for tea and filters, BRU is now planning to enter the Swiss market with the help of the capital increase.
The capital increase is supported by Häußler & Sauter, a traditional, family-run tea company from Germany, which is active in mechanical engineering and the production and sale of tea blends. Häußler & Sauter and BRU plan to exploit synergies at various levels and use their mutual experience in the tea industry for the further development of both companies.
