Greenext was founded in September 2021 with the aim of creating a technological hub in the waste management sector in Italy. A new company with over thirty years of experience, thanks to the significant know-how acquired from Datamove and Anthea, companies acquired by the Viasat Group in 2016 and 2018.
Greenext Technologies S.p.A., a company controlled by Viasat Group S.p.A. and active in the waste management sector with a strong technological focus, has acquired a minority stake in the share capital of Innova S.r.l., through a capital increase. Innova is a company engaged in earth observation and waste management.
This investment will enable Greenext to expand its geographical footprint and strengthen its technological capabilities. Greenext and Innova are thus establishing a strategic, technological, and commercial alliance within the Italian and European urban waste management markets, focusing on service design, collection measurement and certification, smart city applications, fleet management, and proximity waste collection through intelligent ecological islands
