Founded in 1948, the Gilbert Lemelle Group specialises in the production of traditional charcuterie products for brasserie-style cuisine and is currently the second-largest producer of andouilles and andouillettes in France. Through its two operating companies, AT France and Rero, the group supplies major retail chains (GMS) under both private labels and premium brands, as well as the foodservice (RHD) sector. Gilbert Lemelle operates three IFS V6-certified production sites with a total annual capacity of nearly 10,000 tons, located in Troyes (andouillettes de Troyes), Argenteuil (sausages, cooked sausages, hams, etc.), and Plouay (andouille de Guémené). In 2018, the group generated over €30 million in revenue with 220 employees across the three sites.
Adviso Partners advised the shareholder-directors of Gilbert Lemelle on the sale of the group to Popy.
